Print Thursdays: Solar Polymer Intaglio Printing

Learn the basics of solar polymer intaglio printing in this beginner-friendly Print Thursdays workshop.

You will create an image using a light-sensitive polymer plate, expose the plate, develop it, and prepare it for printing. Then you will learn how to apply ink, carefully wipe the surface, dampen your paper, and run the plate through the printing press.

This process can produce rich lines, textures, and details similar to traditional etching without using harsh acids. You will leave with your finished prints and a better understanding of the full intaglio process.

No previous printmaking experience is needed. All tools and materials are included.
